The Avocet Café is a small, friendly, relaxed café situated in the heart of the historic port town of Topsham in Devon.

This popular café with a reputation for excellent coffee and food takes its name from the distinctive wading bird found on the Exe estuary.

At The Avocet Café we offer simple, good food, freshly prepared using top quality local ingredients with nothing added while making good use of produce in season.

All our food is freshly baked and prepared in the café’s kitchen daily. We serve excellent fairtrade, organic coffee, quality teas and always have a range of homemade cakes, tarts and cookies including some which are gluten and wheat free.

Children are very welcome and we can provide small portions of anything from the menu.

Come and enjoy breakfast, great coffee, a simple lunch or try our delicious homemade cakes.
